Chris Morley has called the Village home since 2004, but his roots stretch from the outer boroughs to the Catskills, where he grew up around small businesses that shaped his entrepreneurial drive. After studying history, psychology, and sociology at SUNY Binghamton — including a field study in West Africa — Chris began his career in finance. But the corporate world wasn’t for him. At the time, he was told to work with clients “until they find a place, drop dead, or move to Jersey.” After realizing he was spending nearly half his day on the subway crisscrossing the city, Chris decided to focus on Greenwich Village and Chelsea. That decision paid off: he built lasting relationships with landlords, management companies, attorneys, mortgage brokers, and other brokers. Over the years, Chris has guided clients through every stage of life — from renting their first apartment to buying their first home, and now even helping their children do the same. With more than two decades of experience, Chris has navigated multiple market cycles, using his education and instincts to predict trends and identify opportunities before they appear. His long-term property management experience gives him a unique edge: he knows exactly which upgrades are worth making — and which ones are not. Chris is also on the preferred list of corporate relocation brokers for Google and several other Fortune 500 companies, trusted to help employees and executives transition smoothly into new homes in New York City. In 2011, Chris returned to his small-business roots and founded Bien Realty. Tired of the rigidity of big firms, he wanted to create a boutique brokerage that could deliver the same level of service and resources as the largest companies, but with the determination, focus, and appreciation for relationships that only a small business can provide. Today, Bien Realty stands as one of the few independent brokerages still thriving in Greenwich Village — proof of Chris’s vision, persistence, and commitment to his clients.
